Maruping has spent almost 20 years in financial services. In 2013, she joined a leading private equity firm after a career in investment banking. Since then, she’s worked with dynamic entrepreneurs and management teams across the African continent to build market-leading businesses. She’s passionate about the role private capital can play to accelerate Africa’s economic progress and achieve meaningful impact.
As a private equity investor, Maruping has led expansion into new markets, overseen the construction and commissioning of a large-scale manufacturing complex, and turned around businesses in crisis.
Maruping believes in paying it forward. She’s volunteered in education and youth development projects throughout her career, and created a capital raising program for women entrepreneurs.
