Katherine-Mary Pichulik founded the brand in 2013. She holds a BA Honours in Fine Arts from the University of Cape Town and serves as Joint CEO and Creative Director.

Yes. PICHULIK is committed to ethical production — it employs and collaborates with local women-owned businesses, uses recycled and upcycled materials, and sources materials responsibly from African suppliers.

PICHULIK primarily uses upcycled polypropylene rope, cast brass, semi-precious stones, glass beads, Ghanaian carnelian, hand-carved agate, and freshwater pearls. Materials are locally sourced where possible. PICHULIK PIECES ARE HAND CRAFTED IN OUR STUDIO IN CAPE TOWN

Every PICHULIK piece is handcrafted by a pan-African team of women in Cape Town, South Africa. The studio is located in the city centre, and each piece is made by a single artisan.
